With five years of experience, I’ve honed my skills as a self-taught fly tyer driven by a passion for understanding trout and what they eat. My journey started as a beginner fly fisher, eager to improve my success on the water. It was the realization of how important matching the hatch was that inspired me to begin tying my own flies—specifically those trout favorites.
While I specialize in nymph patterns, I can confidently tie dry flies and streamers to meet all angling needs. My material of choice is pheasant tail, which I use extensively for its versatility and effectiveness in nearly any fly pattern. For me, durability is key; I take pride in crafting flies that stand up to multiple fish takes, while still maintaining quality and reliability.
I share my creations with fellow anglers through social media and offer my flies for sale, helping others enjoy the same success that I’ve found on the water. Although I’m self-taught, I’ve learned from watching experts from Orvis and Fly Fish Food, continuously perfecting my craft to tie flies that are both fast and of the highest quality.
Fly tying isn’t just a hobby—it’s an art form, and I love sharing my passion with the fly fishing community.
